Description

While photographing this Cheetah in the South African bush. No further than 5 meters form me. It was oblivious to my presence and only focused on an Impala Ram. Which after a heart stopping bolt. It caught the unsuspecting ram buy the throat. The Southern African Cheetah is the fastest land mammal, reaching speeds of up to + 100km/hr. Stalking and hiding through the available vegetation, often within 60 to 70 m (200 to 230 ft) of the prey (or even farther for less alert prey). A symbol of over 3000 years ago, the Egyptians praised this formidable cat for killing venomous snakes and protecting the Pharaoh. I'm sure you can see this hanging on your boardroom or living room wall ! Focus on the Silent Stalks!
