The black rhinoceros or hook-lipped rhinoceros is a species of rhinoceros, native to eastern and southern Africa including Angola, Botswana, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Eswatini, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Although the rhinoceros is referred to as black, its colours vary from brown to grey. Original Oil Painting, Medium : Oil on stretched 100% cotton canvas 380gm. Keith Carey. Wildlife Artist & Photographer. South Africa. Born in Salisbury, Rhodesia (Zimbabwe) in 1965. In early childhood he was exposed to Africa's magnificent wildlife. Canoeing trips down the mighty Zambezi River, offered extremely close encounters with wildlife such as lion, elephant, buffalo, black rhino and the notorious hippo. Emigrating to South Africa, 1984. Keith has worked as a Senior Corporate Executive in IT (+25 years), and Safari Guide in Pilanesberg National Park.
